i propose for the sake of good order and truth, that the england rugby team be renamed: jonny wilkinson and the english roses. why you ask? because of this.

here's an analogy: when you throw a good swimmer into a pool of shit, there's only so much he/she can do to keep afloat. the person must thus depend on the initiative and helpfulness of others, in order to get out of that pool of shit.

hence, (and i quote) as long as there are 15 jonnys in a team, england would most definitely win the match. that said, jonny cannot do it alone. either the whole team wake up their fucking idea and pull up their jock-straps, or england can kiss whatever wins against the better rugby teams goodbye.

for a person who hasn't played in international matches for as long as jonny wilkinson did (sporadically at least), his game (note how i said his game and not england's game) against australia was pretty rockin'! a pity that his teammates didn't rise up to the challenge.

and as much as i wanted australia to win (and they did!), it pained me to see how the english were failing whenever a small glimmer of hope (in the form of jonny) appeared. his tackles were fucking awesome and his kicks did not lose their lustre, even after all that injuries.

it pained me to see how much passion he was playing with, only to have his teammates foil the set-ups by being selfish or simply stupid. it's simple, really. if you can't kick, don't. if you can't pass properly, go for short passes. if you see a gap, run for it. and if you are closed down, pass to your teammates. simple rugby. don's attemp heroics if you are not up for it.

with that, i will say it again, the team should be renamed to jonny wilkinson and the english roses. at least you can't say he doesn't deserve it.

ps: i think lewis moody is mad awesome. ahahahaha another 'just-released-from-asylum' person.

goodnight world. it's time to say goodbye! and i'm going to have me a good rest. still a bit irritated from touch early. lots of simple passes and i missed. sigh. when will i improve?! oh wells... at least i don't panic when i see the ball coming towards my face. that's an improvement right? :)
